Authorities found crude homemade bombs in the bunker, say the network's sources.
At least one was in the plastic pipe used by police to communicate with Dykes, reports AP. The boy's grandmother, meanwhile, says he continues to do well physically, though she is worried he might suffer long-term emotional damage. "It was horrible," she recalls of the ordeal. "I never went through anything so horrible." The boy, identified only as Ethan, turns 6 tomorrow, and preparations are under way not only to celebrate his birthday in Midland City but to honor the bus driver slain while protecting other kids from Dykes.
