Future Groom Proposes at Age 102

When George Kirby and Doreen Luckie get married in June, some impressive numbers will be in the mix. He's currently 102 and she's 91, and their combined age on the big day will be 194 years and 281 days, easily making them the world's oldest married couple, reports the Telegraph. The British pair met in 1988 and have been living together for about 25 years. Between them, they've got seven kids, 15 grandkids, and seven great-grandkids. "I didn't get down on one knee, because I don't think I would have been able to get back up," says Kirby. Luckie, meanwhile, pronounces herself downright "giddy." They live in a hotel in East Sussex.
