Florida police shot a pizza delivery driver after authorities say he struck an officer with his vehicle, the AP reports. According to the Orlando Sentinel, police responded Friday to the Italian Garden Pizzeria in Winter Garden, about 15 miles west of Orlando, after a call about an employee assaulting the owner. The suspect had left by the time police arrived so they had the owner lure him back to pick up his final paycheck. Upon arriving he saw officers waiting and attempted to flee. Officials say he hit an officer with his car, pinning him to a dumpster. Police then opened fire. The condition of the suspect was not immediately known. Officials say the officer will be OK. The pizzeria owner was treated at a hospital and released. Police are investigating. (More pizza stories.)
