The boyfriend of Chateri Payne, the rookie Louisiana police officer killed the night of Jan. 9 outsider her home as she prepared to go to work, has been arrested in her murder. Police say Treveon Anderson, 26, Payne's live-in boyfriend and the father of her young daughter, called 911 and "concocted" a story about a mystery gunman shooting Payne as he was inside with their daughter, leading police to launch a manhunt, ABC News reports. Two alleged accomplices, Lawrence Pierre, 22, and Glenn Frierson, 38, were also arrested; all three men have been charged with second-degree murder. According to police records obtained by KSLA, Pierre is Anderson's cousin and he admitted to officers he was present at the time of the shooting and led them to the murder weapon. (Another rookie cop was killed just a day later.)
