The Democrats are now in control of the House—and Mike Pence has lost the bonus office space he was awarded by the Republicans in 2017. A House Democratic aide confirms to NPR that the rarely used office has been reassigned under House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. As president of the Senate, Pence, who served six terms in the House, already has an office on that side of the Capitol. Democrats say that before Pence, no vice president had been given House office space for 25 years and the White House legislative affairs team has now been given space it didn't have before, the Hill reports.
