If you thought your cousin's nine-lady-strong wedding party was a bit much, wait until you hear this: Casme Carter had 34 bridesmaids when she got married on the beach June 2 in Destin, Florida. Carter, who had her six sisters by her side as well as many of the friends she's made through mentoring and participating in women's empowerment groups, tells CNN of her now husband: "He thought I was joking but then he was like, 'If anybody can do it.' He knows how I am and how many women are around me." She says she wanted to have 50 bridesmaids, but some were unable to commit. She broke up the ones who could into several groups so none of them were aware quite how big a group they were a part of until the big day.

When they arrived at the beach with the neutral beach dresses and bathing suits she asked them to bring along, they saw the massive wedding party in full. "When they saw everybody they were like, 'Oh my God, Casme. This is so awesome!'" she says. There are several photos of the group on Carter's Instagram account. Carter, who is from New Orleans but has been a wedding singer for many Destin weddings, says she simply wanted all her friends "to experience the love that they've seen that I've been praying for and wanting." She adds to Inside Edition, "A lot of them know my journey and know how much of a love bug I am. I wanted them to share this day with me." (This couple got married, then had a baby almost immediately.)
