Clinton to Iran: Free Reporter

Hillary Clinton demanded that Iran release Roxana Saberi, the Iranian-American journalist held on accusations of spying, Reuters reports. “We have great concerns about Ms. Saberi’s health and well being,” Clinton said today, citing reports that Saberi is on hunger strike. The case raises questions about Iran’s legal system, Clinton said, as the country seemed “impervious” to human-rights concerns.

Speaking to a Senate committee, Clinton said it was hard—even as secretary of state—to get a straight answer out of Tehran: “They are going to let her out, they are going to let her out in two months.
