These Twittering Geeks Need Your Support

With all the normal people suddenly overrunning Twitter, “we have to stick together, and keep the geek community thriving,” writes GeekDad Ken Denmead for Wired. He’s compiled a list of 100 geeks worth following. Here are a few:

  • Wil Wheaton (wilw): Blogger, writer, and, oh yeah, Wesley Crusher.
  • Al Yankovic (alyankovic): The king of geek music.
  • Adam Savage (dontrythis): Co-host of Mythbusters.

  • John Hodgman (hodgman): It’s PC himself!
  • Neil Gaiman (neilhimself): Maybe geekdom’s favorite author.
  • Harry Knowles (headgeek666): The AintItCoolNews founder.
  • Jonathan Coulton (jonathancoulton): You’ll know him as the guy who wrote the end music for Portal.
  • Felicia Day (feliciaday): She’s a geek in real life, too.
  • Kevin Smith (thatkevinsmith): The writer/director owns a comic book shop.
  • John Cleese (johncleese): Because who doesn’t love Monty Python?
