Republicans keep lining up the usual suspects as presidential candidates and foolishly ignore "the candidate hiding in plain sight"—Jeb Bush. So says Joshua Green, who disputes the conventional wisdom that Bush can't possibly win because he shares the same last name as his brother. "For one thing, no obvious frontrunner has emerged nor seems likely to," he writes at the Boston Globe.

From Romney to Huckabee to Palin, they all have their well-documented flaws. "Bush, on the other hand, has a solid conservative record that wasn’t amassed in Washington and broad appeal in a critical state; for a party conspicuously lacking a positive agenda, he’s also known as an ideas guy." Polls show voters differentiate between the elder and younger George Bushes. Surely, they can do so between the Bush brothers.
